Thank you for your interest in Student Works Painting!
We are a student painting company. This means that all of our Franchisees and most of their painters are full-time university students, earning money for tuition and expenses for the following year.
Our company evolved as a necessary response to a shortage of summer jobs for students. As tuition and all other associated costs continue their painful rise, and government support decreases, we have taken matters into our own hands by developing a professional painting network providing high quality services along with the many advantages of dealing with hardworking, enthusiastic students.
We are not a new company. In fact, we have been providing top quality painting services at reasonable prices since 1981. We are recognized as the leader in quality and service in the student painting industry.

Commitment to our customers, and commitment to our people. Our Franchisees undergo rigorous training in the spring months and have solid technical and customer support behind them. The staff are hand-picked and trained by the Franchisees and are regularly evaluated and their skills improved.
As our valued customer, you are ensured complete satisfaction. The crew chief on each job is required to obtain your written "O.K." before moving on to the next job. In addition, each Franchisee will ask you for your candid comments, at which time any concerns you may have will be alleviated. When you call in to register your three year warranty, your comments will be scrutinized to further ensure your satisfaction. We will promptly respond if there is anything further which you require. What does all this means for you? ...SATISFACTION!
Other Important Facts...
Last year over 95% of our clients said they would use us again. We are very proud of this success and are trying to improve our rating for this summer.
We offer a Three Year Written Guarantee against paint failure, excluding of course, extraordinary damage done to the surface which has been painted (fire, smoke, water leakage, etc.)
We have $4,000,000 Liability Insurance Coverage in case of an accident. This is also expensive, but it is essential for the protection of you, the customer. Many contractors do not have this coverage.
Although it is expensive, we have full WORKERS' COMPENSATION COVERAGE for all of our workers. It is not a well known fact that if an "uncovered" worker has an accident on your property, YOU are responsible for their lost wages and other damages. Be sure to check this with all contractors.
Jobs Available:
PAINTER
Both rookie and veteran painters are needed to be a part of our successful student painting teams. You'll get a suntan, stay in shape, and be compensated with an adjusted hourly wage between minimum wage and $13.00 (depending on area and experience). You can increase your effective wage rate through taking advantage of the swp piece rate system. Ask your interviewer for more details. Weather permitting, we use a 40 hour work week. You will learn many valuable skills including:
client relations
time management
problem solving skills
CREW CHIEF
Crew Leaders provide basic leadership and are the on-the-job supervisors. You will be compensated with an adjusted hourly wage of between $8.00 and $12.00. Access to a vehicle and painting experience are essential. You'll be the front line between the manager and the client.
NOTES TO PAINTERS AND CREW LEADERS - No experience is necessary for exterior or interior painting positions (Various levels of training are involved.)
