Company description:
Quickdraw Animation is an artist-run centre with a mandate to facilitate the production, education and appreciation of independent animation. Quickdraw serves a thriving community of independent animation artists. The society has been recognized for its unique community-based approach to outreach, having engaged in extensive programming for Aboriginal youth, at-risk youth and youth facing street-involvement. Throughout the past two years, the centre has grown rapidly – significantly expanding programming and outreach initiatives and more than doubling its operating budget. The organization is currently working actively alongside a team of seven arts and culture organizations to actualize a major facilities project (the Media and Visual Arts Initiative - MaVA).
