Company description:
Pacific Theatre is a mid-size professional theatre company, founded in Vancouver in 1984 with the mandate to produce and present theatre that explores the spiritual aspects of human experience. The company produces five mainstage plays per season, plus smaller projects, and operates in a fast-paced, open office environment.
Productions on our stage have garnered seventy-five nominations for Jessie Richardson Theatre Awards in all artistic categories. In June, 2007, Pacific Theatre received 8 Jessie Award nominations and 3 Jessie Awards - including Outstanding Production of the Year in our category. In June 2006, 16 Jessie Award nominations and 4 Jessie Awards were received - the most nominees and winners from any one theatre company in 2005-2006.
Pacific Theatre is a registered charitable society and an affiliate member of the Professional Association of Canadian Theatres, a member of the Alliance for Arts & Culture, and a member of the Greater Vancouver Professional Theatre Alliance.
