Company description:
The focus of the BC Summer Games is the development of athletes, coaches, and officials and the development of communities.
Participants
• As many as 2706 athletes, 544 coaches, and 338 officials from across BC will attend the Games.
• 28 events will be held in 19 sports.
• Age range: The youngest possible athletes will be 10 years old in towed water sports (water
skiing, wakeboarding, barefooting); the oldest possible able-bodied athletes will be 20 years old in
shooting sports.
• Athletes with a disability will range in age from 13 to 50 and will compete in athletics. Athletes with
a disability include wheelchair athletes and Special Olympic athletes.
• The average age of the athletes will be 14 years.
• One coach with each Zone Team is required to be a fully certified Level 2 coach in the sport they
are coaching at the Games.
