Position: Systems Administrator
Location: Aurora,Ontario
Salary: 50k-60k

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the computer servers and Windows LAN. In addition, they will be responsible for storage, operating systems, system management, disaster recovery and daily back-up of all systems. Administering our network infrastructure includes WAN/LAN configuration, Firewall, routers, switches, hubs & modems, IP addressing and VPN access. Additional network security responsibilities include diverse issues as anti-virus, router hardening, network design, email protection and patch management.
Must Have:
A minimum of 3 years of production experience in an enterprise Information Technology role administering Windows infrastructure and security
Strong troubleshooting skills
A positive approach to Client Relations
Highly organized self-starter who is process driven
A proven ability to manage multiple projects under pressure in a deadline driven and constantly changing environment
Excellent written and oral communications skills
Ability to prioritize and work independently is essential
Ability to follow processes
Ability to communicate effectively to internal development team
Ability to translate requests into functional IT specifications
Maintenance of user accounts, passwords and security information
Establish written procedures and policies for client and network
Assist with technical documentation of IT standards in conjunction with company guidelines
Experience configuration and administration of IIS (Internet Information Server), Microsoft exchange server in a windows NT, 2000, 2003 networks
Excellent communication, escalation and prioritization skills
Well-developed interpersonal skills, professional attitude and strong team player
Demonstrated strong ability to take ownership of technical issues and deliver effective solutions
Strong organizational, documentation and project management skills
Working knowledge of network services and protocols
Ability to be on-call and work after-hours to perform server maintenance
Planning and implementing network infrastructure changes
Perform daily and weekly backups
Disaster planning and testing
Software and hardware installation (servers and workstations)
Deploy anti-virus, anti-spam and other security services
Monitor capacity and performance of IT resources
