Thermal Engineer
 

Summary:

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Sales and Operations you will be assisting the manager with thermal design, mechanical design and writing proposals, audit ready R&D reports, design process equipment and interface with inter-departments.


Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Thermal Design of heat exchangers
Design pressure vessels and heat exchangers
Perform mechanical design analysis
Generate proposals and estimates
Arrange to visit client to discuss proposal if necessary
Prepare project releases
Coordinate drawings and correspondence between Engineering Department and Manufacturing.
Respond to client queries
Adherence to procedures, codes and standards


Training and Experience



Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:



Experience with HRTI/PRELITE/CODECALL
Accelerated learner and ready to take on new challenges
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, self motivated, results oriented, attention to detail, flexible, cooperative team player and excellent interpersonal skills
Experience designing heat exchangers
You must have in depth knowledge in the specification, design, bid evaluation, and checking shop drawings of heat exchangers
Experience with ASME SECT. VIII, DIV-1 Code and CSA standards
Ability to multi-task and strong sense of urgency is a must
Ability to work with limited supervision
Ability to work to time constraints and meet tight deadlines



Credentials and Experience:

Education: P.Eng with 3-10 years of post graduate experience designing.
Manufacturing experience REQUIRED


Other Requirements:

This position may also require travel to international sites from time to time so individual must be able to travel freely without any restrictions as it relates to criminal records, or eligibility to enter into foreign countries
