QA Specialist

We are looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) specialist to join our Engineering Services division. The candidate should have solid understanding of GSM/UMTS/LTE mobile network technologies and applications, and how they are being used and deployed in real world environments.

Your responsibilities:
• Perform quality assurance testing of mobile telecom software solutions such as HLR, HSS (IMs and LTE), AAA, SIP server, Subscriber Profile Repository, etc..
• Perform quality assurance testing of web interfaces and web technologies backend systems.
• Work closely with software design team and program management in providing work estimates, continuous improvement recommendations, etc.
• Assist software designers in the product feature development.
• Work with customer support team to investigate software problems and work towards a solution.
• Develop new methods of testing
• Prepare test plan, test cases and tests reports.


What we're looking for?
• Bachelor degree in Computer Sciences, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5 years and more of experience in Quality Assurance.
• Strong knowledge of mobile telecommunication core network (GSM, UMTS, LTE) and applications (HLR, HSS, SGSN, MSC, AAA).
• Knowledge of Signaling Protocols (SS7, SIP, MAP, Diameter, SOAP)
• Knowledge of Linux based environments.
• Knowledge of Catapult test environment & scripting language
• Knowledge of load testing, carrier-grade and high-availability frameworks.
• Test & Validation methodology (SDLC, test strategy, plan, cases, …)
• Knowledge of web technologies (scripting, programming…) is an asset
• Test automation tool skills such as SoapUI, LoadUI, Silktest, Winrunner, or others is an asset

Other requirements:
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Team player who is detail oriented and has excellent organizational skills
• Strong communication skills
• Fluent in English (oral & written)
• French an asset
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment with changing requirements
