Alpine Village offers an intimate, friendly and professional working environment recognizing the importance of the Housekeeping Department as the backbone of the hospitality industry. The Executive Housekeeper works alongside the Owners, Management and Housekeeping Staff to ensure continued success in the Housekeeping Department and to facilitate a rewarding work experience for all Housekeeping Staff and to ensure guest satisfaction with the utmost care and cleanliness of the cabins.
The position of Executive Housekeeper at Alpine Village is a hands-on, supervisory position and the responsibilities include:
• Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness.
• Ensuring prompt and excellent service to each cabin from the Housekeeping Department
• Supervising up to 15 Room Cleaners and Laundry Staff
• Training, organizing, planning and scheduling Housekeeping Staff
• Staff motivation to ensure a positive team effort
• Product inventory of Housekeeping and Laundry Departments.
• Daily quality control checks on checkouts and stayovers.
• Liaison with Front Office Staff and resort guests regarding guest requirements and concerns.
• Liaison with Operations and General Managers regarding staff evaluations and day-to-day operation of Housekeeping Department.
JOB REQUIREMENTS -
The ideal candidate for Executive Housekeeper at Alpine Village must be highly motivated, energetic, possess a positive attitude and be in excellent physical condition as this job requires walking or biking around the 5 acre property in the outdoor elements of heat, coolness or rain.
Must possess strong communication, leadership and organizational skills with attention to detail.
Previous experience in room cleaning and in particular in a supervisory role in Housekeeping is required or very similar experience required from a housekeeping, janitorial or laundry organization.
Must speak, write and read English.
Must be a Canadian citizen or provide a valid work permit. Applicants who do not already have legal permission to work in Canada will not be considered.

Ideally we are looking for an individual that will be willing to return to us each season and willing to sign a five year contract. This job can be ideal for someone that is looking for a full-time term position for the 7 months and welcomes the 5 months off to allow time for travel or family.
