The Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the day to day activities of a small to mid-sized Appletree Medical Centre. They provide leadership, guidance and support to the clinic staff, and exceptional customer service and support to our clients and patients.
Individuals who desire to lead a team and who are interested in pursuing a career within the Appletree Medical Group, and who meet the qualifications below, are strongly encouraged to apply to our Team Leader training program.
Daily duties are varied, but may include any or all of the following:
•Medical Assistant duties with patients, including basic triage, clinical skills and program shifts
•Act as a resource to answer non-medical questions from MAs, physicians and other staff and patients
•Attend monthly management meetings
•Oversee and bear responsibility for the maintenance of the high cleanliness, professional and performance standards of the clinic; be available to answer questions during monthly site inspections
•Monitor and support staff performance, and conduct regular reviews
•Review and act on Action Requests weekly
•Spot-check centre cleanliness, wait timer and whiteboard messages
•Prepare and disseminate staff schedule 4 weeks in advance
•Payroll for staff, as required
