POSITION TITLE: Agile Java Developer
LOCATION: Downtown Toronto

POSITION OVERVIEW:
This exciting opportunity is with a technology firm that provides application software and associated services to the medical industry. Their environment is based on the eXtreme Programming/AGILE philosophy. Our client is looking for a programmer who is passionate about technology, loves collaborating with other keen minds, and possesses tremendous skills with designing software and solving problems.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Program and design software on a team of JAVA developers collaborating in an exciting, AGILE/eXtreme Programming environment
Design and develop a services technology platform
Assist in UI redesign
Help to drive forward the latest software development practices (eXtreme Programming/AGILE, Test Driven Development)
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
3-5yrs Object Oriented design (Patterns, Usecases, Refactoring)
3yrs Java Development experience
Strong hands-on SQL exposure (MSSQL, MySQL, Oracle or Sybase)
Thorough understanding of and belief in Test Driven Development and AGILE/eXtreme Programming methodologies
Well-developed programming and testing skills in Java/J2EE
Ability to solve complex problems under pressure
Must be able to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
