POSITION TITLE: Software Developer

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Our client is the leader in secure online data protection and provides network-based backup and recovery solutions to thousands of companies worldwide. They have an immediate need within their development lab in Oakville for a Software Developer with established C++ experience to help build the next generation of our technology.
REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:
A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
At least 5 years of C++ experience
Experience with multi-threaded programming, IPC, STL and Boost
REQUIRED NON-TECHNICAL SKILLS:
A solid commitment to quality software development
An ability to learn quickly and adapt
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong English written and oral communication skills
DESIRED SKILLS:
At least 3 years experience with C# and .NET
Experience developing cross-platform software, including Windows and Unix environments
Experience with automated testing tools and unit testing
Experience working in an agile software development environment
Experience with the administration and configuration of database software such as Oracle and SQL Server
