POSITION TITLE: Development Manager
LOCATION: Toronto, Ontario
DURATION: Full-Time, Permanent
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Development Manager acts as relationship manager to the Lines of Business (LOBS). The job incumbent manages Development Groups that are accountable for on-time, on-budget delivery of quality solutions which includes analysis, design, development, implementation, and support of applications to ensure and/or maintain alignment with IT strategies from multiple LOBS, and adhering to standards, such as Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI), International Organization for Standardization (ISO), and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL).
REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge:
Possesses a university degree in ideally, applied technologies.
8+ years experience in datawarehousing /financial regulatory application development with expert business knowledge.
Possesses expert project management experience.
Possesses extensive practical experience in application development and/or client solution delivery.
Demonstrates expert knowledge of design and analysis methodology and application development processes from both an industry and company perspective.
Exhibits expert understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and Quality Assurance (QA) requirements.
Demonstrates expert understanding of emerging technologies and industry directions.
Prior forecasting experience for budgeting purposes is an asset.

Demonstrates advanced relationship management and coaching skills.
Is able to translate broad, strategic intent into short term plans.
