POSITION TITLE: Mechanic

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Our client is a well-established High End European Car Repair Facility in Toronto. They are looking for a qualified mechanic to service Mercedes, BMW, and Porsche vehicles. In this role, you will be expected to provide professional automotive service on every vehicle. All candidates should have a complete understanding of under-hood mechanics, under carriage systems and be willing to attend training programs when offered.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
You will diagnose and repair automotive systems; this includes:
Diagnoses and repairs to specifications brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.
Adequately explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and customers on an as-required basis.
Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing automotive technology.
Keeps store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur.
Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes.
Must follow all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor
Must maintain an organized and neat bay and ensure that customers’ cars are kept clean.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be an accredited licensed mechanic. Preference given to dealer trained mechanics.
6+ years of automotive mechanical diagnosis, problem-solving and repair experience.
3+ years hands on experience in maintenance and trouble shooting of Porsche, BMW, Mercedes vehicles.
Familiar with electronic / mechanical and diagnostic equipments.
Customer-focused attitude and a high level of motivation and energy.
All candidates are required to have a high school diploma or GED, valid driver's license and their own tools.
Strong personal work habits.

A commitment to customer satisfaction with pride in workmanship.
Effective communication and the want to succeed in a team environment.
Ensure all repair and service jobs are meeting with the customer expectations.
Able to provide advice to customer for its motor vehicle repair needs.
