On site Photographer - Apprenticeship
 

CONFRONT Magazine™ is an innovative online publication that aims to provoke change in the entertainment industry and defy the limits of entertainment media.

Our fully interactive platform features a wide variety of musical genres in an effort to promote diversity, redefine the mainstream and challenge readers to expand their horizons.

Richly populated with online, independently produced content, which includes articles, reviews, exposés, columns, forums, local and international music as well as much more, CONFRONT Magazine maintains a traditional hardcopy feel but breaks away from its limitations by allowing readers to participate actively in all aspects of the magazine.

Position:
As an On-Site CONFRONT Magazine photographer, you will be attending concerts and interviews throughout the Montreal area, taking show pictures and accompanying our staff of correspondents on interviews for candid and organized photo shoots.

Skill requirements:
•Access to a professional or semi-professional digital camera
•Digital video capacity is an asset
•Ability to work with deadlines
•Communication skills
•Able to take instruction & criticism with ease; willing to learn
•Organized, and process driven
•Able to multi-task
•Proven display of initiative
•Represent CONFRONT Magazine with integrity, respect and mature judgment

Qualifications:
•Basic understanding of concert photographer
•Experience with photo editing an asset
•Ready and willing to learn and experiment

This is a work experience - apprenticeship and therefore, students 18 years and older are welcome to apply. Please send up your portfolio or an online link where your work can be viewed.

The apprenticeship is without monetary remuneration; whoever, compensation is available in the form of show access, band material etc.
