Project Manager - Application Development
Position Overview:
Due to growth and continued success, we are looking for qualified and seasoned professionals to fill various Project Manager positions in our Development & Support team in Vancouver. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of application systems to our business partners. Your ability to manage multiple projects in their entirety as well as co-ordinate and communicate with cross-functional teams will be supplemented by your strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Plan, organize and control projects, define and refine processes and lead project teams in the successful on-time, on-budget to client satisfaction delivery of projects.
Liaise with all Development & Support teams and other departments and with external suppliers of the project via the appropriate communications mechanism.
Facilitate cross-functional project teams and organize and conduct status meetings and provide status reports.
Provide innovative and proactive solutions to project issues.
Work with the project team to identify and assess project risks and to mitigate them.
Know and work within the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and application and technology architectures
Qualifications
Qualifications:
A post secondary degree in Computer Science (or an Engineering degree) is desired or the equivalent Systems or Engineering experience demonstrated by progressive responsibilities into a project management role.
Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is an asset.
Minimum of 5+ years of progressive project management experience managing large scale cross-functional project teams
Demonstrated experience with and understanding of the telecommunications industry considered a strong asset
Understanding and experience with project management methodologies
Excellent understanding of Systems and Processes in Information Technology and Systems Delivery Life Cycle
Candidates with previous exposure to systems for Client Operations preferred
Good knowledge of the wireless business, Call Centre management, network management provisioning and telephony, including CTI and IVR is strongly desired.
Experience in defining and implementing production support processes across multiple teams.
Experience with managing and facilitating 3rd party vendor relationships.
Strong budgeting and planning experience.
Ability to deal with all levels of the organization.
Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
Required Professional Designation/Certification:
