Principle Responsibilities:
Responsible for the independent setup and operation of Mazak, Nakamura and VDF Machines
Operate controller to manage programs and machine systems.
Read program code, identify operations sequences, tooling requirements, and set-up and run production.
Inspect completed work, edit program as needed to produce conforming parts.
Maintain inventory of tooling and supplies to avoid downtime.
Ensure tooling is kept in good condition.
Specify and requisition standard and special cutting tools.
Perform routine maintenance on machine; monitor machine and equipment, identify conditions requiring service.
Coordinate with departments ahead and behind lathe operation to achieve optimal through put.
Bring a can-do team attitude and self-motivated productivity to the job with core value to promote and participate in the success and growth of the company.
Qualified applicants must possess the following qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
3-5 years CNC lathe set-up and operation experience; Haas experience preferred.
Ability to read and perform basic editing of G Code.
Ability to identify and correct machining flaws.
Knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, fixtures, inserts and other accessories.
Knowledge and ability to communicate CNC turning technology.
Familiarity with machine shop environment, machining processes and basic equipment.
Ability to use precision measuring instruments and inspect parts per drawing.
