They have an office which is based out of the Saskatoon area and they will deliver construction projects up to $125million on a lump sum, fixed price or design and build. By the nature of the market and long standing relation with various clients and stakeholders a lot of the work is done on a fixed price bases but design and build is becoming an integral part of their business

The sectors they work in are Heavy Civil such as Roads, Bridges, and Waste and Sewer Water Treatment plants all on a self performing basis in terms of the concrete. Commercial and Institutional such as schools, hospitals, new build government and university buildings. Heavy Industrial is the largest section of the business and they will do concrete foundations, power such as sub stations and waste /sewer water treatment plants for industrial plants ,the actual construction of the plants them selves along with all the associated piping and mining .
Due to Expansion they are looking for a Senior Electrical Estimator , you will report into and operation manager and be responsible for bidding and putting together bids and proposals on various lump sum , fixed price and design and build projects . You will be an integral part of the teams as you will provide all of the estimating and bidding for the electrical components on various projects so you will be bidding across all the 3 divisions within the company Industrial, Civil and Commercial.
You will also be responsible conducting pre bid negotiations with sub contractors and suppliers , pricing change and negotiating change orders , recording final unit prices for database reference , progress claims all within the Electrical side .

You will come from an Electrical Contractor and have been estimating for 10-15 years within the electrical field of construction, you will have a proven background in putting together electrical bids for formal tender submission. You will have bid on projects on a commercial and industrial basis or waste water and sewer water treatment plants again within the Electrical field
