Our Client is the leading Major General Contractor within the Saskatchewan Market; they are the one of the leaders in the commercial and civil markets. By the very nature of the construction market in Saskatchewan our Client will work on projects from $75,000 to $50million. The work on fixed price, lump sum and design and build, the projects they will get involved in will be major institutional projects such as schools hospitals, government buildings, university projects along with Heavy civil projects such as waste water and sewage treatment and major roads and bridges.
Our client has a distinct advantage over its competition and that it self performs on concrete. They look for a Senior Project Manager to be able to manage construction projects up to the value of $50 million from a hand on basis. They are looking for a project manager that has been involved in construction and not from owner or engineering practice. You will have a proven background in the delivery of Civil or Commercial projects up to the value of $50 million. You will be expected to manage all construction activities such as budget, cost control, scheduling the initial start up and then ensuring production is maintained. Through to liaising with stakeholders and clients about variations, progress and Change orders to the completion of the project ensuring end product specification and construction as per blue print drawings. In effect it will be a full project life cycle from cradle to grave
Some of the current Projects include $24million waste water treatment plant , $25m Expansion to an existing university building and $25 million new build government building .

You must be hands on Construction Senior Project Manager and a proven background in the delivery of either commercial projects up to $50 million or Heavy Civil projects up to $50 million. You will have worked on projects on a lump sum, fixed price and ideally design and build contracts
You can come from either a trades or an engineering background
My client is looking for people within Construction and have worked for general contractors on construction projects and not project managers who have worked on the client/owner representative or civil engineering consultant side
