We are seeking an experienced manager to oversee the day-to-day workings of a wilderness guest ranch and its staff. The manager is responsible for ensuring that all departments are running smoothly and that the guest experience is a positive one. Our ideal candidate will keep the big picture in mind, while also paying attention to the details. The manager is expected to set a positive example for staff and to promote a standard that reflects well on the company. Business and people management skills are equally important.
planning and organizing accommodation
promoting and marketing the business
managing budgets and financial plans as well as controlling expenditures
delegate work and supervise staff
planning work schedules for individuals and teams
addressing problems and troubleshooting
ensuring all ranch activities run smoothly
supervising maintenance, supplies, renovations and furnishings
dealing with contractors and suppliers
carrying out inspections of property and services
conduct regular meetings with heads of department to coordinate and monitor the progress of business strategies
ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
The guest ranch is a busy eco-tourism business that offers pack trips, as well as ranch stays and Wilderness Guide Training. We currently own 36 horses and are surrounded by great hiking trails. Our ranch is alcohol-free, drug-free, and non-smoking. You will have the opportunity to learn lots of new skills and enjoy ranch-life and nature during your free time.
