The Role - Under the overall direction of the Manager, this position will have accountability for the ongoing management and negotiation of all contracts within a Quality Service office. This position will lead the regional office to implement a range of contracting policies and practices, by developing an approach with analysts and service providers that both promotes and supports CLBC’s Mission, Vision and Values. The Coordinator will also lead the quality service area on the 2008-10 initiatives related to the implementation of contract policies and practices as they are developed. This position will be the primary liaison with the range of CLBC service providers and all tasks will be undertaken in a manner that respects and values this working relationship.
Additionally, the position will lead the following initiatives: contract costing; the individualization of services, the crisis response as well as providing leadership with respect to the development of outcomes and formats for monitoring practice within the region.
The Senior Contracts Coordinator will provide advice to the Manager and analysts on procurement policy and practice. Further, in consultation with the Regional Financial Manager, this position will advise on appropriate funding levels for new plans with service providers.
Qualifications - CLBC is seeking a positive, high energy candidate that has a strong background in community services and/or programs with experience in contract management and program administration including procurement and negotiations. Related degree or equivalent combination of experience and education. Experience in working in the community living field or with social service resource development and contract management is preferred.
