RESPONSIBILITIES
· Provide courteous and professional service at all times and maintain a consistent high level of guest satisfaction.
· Clean, clear, wipe, reset and serve tables and tours (keep section organized and under control).
· Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
· Work support shifts as required.
· Knowledgeable of Hotel services, history, and other Food and Beverage outlets.
· Knowledgeable of all menus and the Micros system.
· Aware of safety in the restaurant and kitchen, to have complete understanding and adhere to the Health & Safety policy.
· Perform other duties when not busy to ensure optimum level of productivity.
· Use suggestive selling techniques to increase sales.
· Retrieve condiments and drinks from kitchen or any other items needed for guests.
· Maintain presence in section; be able to exceed guest expectations.
· Carry out any other reasonable duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Minimum 6 months serving experience in a like environment (1200+ covers per day) or 1 year serving experience overall.
· Diploma or Degree in Hospitality/Hotel/Wine Studies is an asset.
· Must have sincere desire to exceed guest expectations and a passion for Food and Wine.
· The ability to work well under pressure; high energy and self- motivated.
· Must be a team player and demonstrate organizational skills.
