Salary Range: $64,530 - $75,917 plus:
Northern Allowance: 5% of base - range $3,227 - $3,796 per annum
Flat Northern Allowance: $6,300 per annum
Vacation Travel Allowance $1,300 per employee + $850 per spouse and dependent children payable on the pay date following the employee’s anniversary
RRSP: 6% of base salary - range $3,872 - $4,555, employer matches the employee’s contribution of 6%
Employer Pays Premiums On: Life Insurance, Extended Health, Dental, AD&D
Employee Pays Premiums On: Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability
Overtime: Paid at double time

Description:
Permanent, Full time unionized position
Required for our client who produces and transmits electrical energy.
The successful applicant is responsible for procuring and expediting materials, equipment and services while mitigating risk and complying with current contract law and internal policies. This includes initiating and analyzing tenders, presiding over bid openings, and making recommendations to internal customers regarding purchases. This position provides direction and supervision of all procurement and contracting activities.
Reports to: Chief Financial Officer
Qualifications:
Post secondary training towards a procurement designation at a level sufficient to perform advanced procurement activities and reconciliations of financial reports including several years experience in a computerized environment.
Several years experience in procurement procedures to provide sound advice and recommendations.
Supervisory experience
Good interpersonal, organizational, writing, communication, and negotiation skills.
Strong client service orientation.
Knowledge of Windows based computer software applications.
Ability to work and maintain accuracy under pressure and to meet critical deadlines.
Ability to work in a team and cross-cultural environment.
