Shop Foreman - Structural Steel

Salary: $34-$40 per hour
Location: Edmonton Area, AB
Description:
Our client is a major fabricator of structural steel components/skids for the oil & gas sector who has an opening for a Shop Foreman.
Responsibilities include:
• Supervising structural steel and pressure piping tradesmen for construction projects in the oil & gas industry
• Manage 15 - 60 staff with help of lead hands
• Manage work in progress and related reporting
• Inspecting completed work and ensuring that it meets all company and industry standards.
• Review hours costed to jobs for efficiency, production and budgets
• Organize multiple jobs in the shop
• Ensure good housekeeping is maintained and safety program is followed
• Oversee yard duties, receiving and shipping of materials
• Oversee CNC equipment
• Organize equipment, shop personnel, and work load to meet work requirements
• Ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently, effectively and safely
Qualifications:
• Journeyman Welder or Boiler Maker or related trade
• Minimum 5 years experience running a shop
• Strong management & leadership experience
