Due to continued corporate growth, we are currently recruiting for the a
project in Madagascar area for the following position:
4-Emergency Response Specialist (Ref # 2008-012-ERS)
This position is responsible for the overall site emergency response, fire,
rescue protection and meeting volunteer training requirements on mine and
construction site operations. The successful candidate must have proficient skills in Open Pit mine, construction and emergency response involving incident response prevention and ongoing site protection. Required qualifications and certifications include NFPA 1001, NFPA 1081, CPR, First Aid, WHMIS and TDG Trainer.
A sound knowledge in (EMS) emergency medical service and support in the
form of an EMT or EMR is considered a strong asset. It is essential that this
individual be familiar with working with and coordinating a volunteer site
emergency response team, equipment preparedness and response readiness
for all site emergencies. Additional training in high angle, confines space
rescue are considered strong assets. National Fire Protection Association-NFPA and equivalent qualifications are desirable; consideration will be given to persons with mine rescue and emergency response training, safety experience, and a quality work history.

Project Information
Project is a rotation 6:2 (week) rotations, with all travel and accommodation provided to and from the project site. Personnel will live on site at the provided accommodation complex in single rooms, with meals provided.
