Key Accountabilities
 Identify and implement projects to increase gas well capacity for less than $500k/TJ/d.

 Conduct and implement Integrated Field Reviews (IFR’s) for your fields with the aim to identify and rank opportunities to maximise field production and economic return.

 Monitor field performance and optimise production from existing wellbores and fields:
 Identify, justify and implement rate enhancement/stimulation projects.
 Identify, scope and justify facility modifications and additions.
 Generate, and keep current, a seriatim of workover and other rate enhancement opportunities.

 Monitor daily field production to identify actual or potential production problems and submit recommendations for remedial work and/or investigatory testing.

 Prepare documentation, specifications, In-wellbore Project Approvals, Project Data Packages and presentations to obtain Santos, Joint Venture and Government approval for projects as required.

 Liaise with Exploitation, Drilling & Completions, Engineering & Reliability and the Field Asset Team in the evaluation and implementation of base field optimisation projects.

 Assist in the development / justification and implementation of yearly field surveillance plan in line with the current surveillance strategy and to identify production problems or stimulation opportunities.

 Prepare reservoir surveillance analysis reports.

 Keep up to date with emerging technology in Production Optimisation and any other related fields.

 Supervise / monitor field activities where appropriate such as running of production logs, well test work, and stimulation projects such as perforating, acidising, fracturing, CTU work.

 Prepare and present reports to Management, Joint Venture partners and Government bodies as appropriate.

 Adopt safe work practices and use any equipment provided for Health and Safety purposes in accordance with Santos’ Safety policies.

 Conduct operations and activities in accordance with Santos’ Environmental Policies, Codes of Environmental Practice and Environmental Guidelines.

 Understand and apply Santos’ Equal Employment Opportunity policy within the workplace.

 Conduct other duties as required at the direction of Production Optimisation Manager

Essential Qualifications

Bachelor of Engineering Degree or equivalent



Required Experience

 8 years plus Petroleum Engineering experience in a combination or Reservoir, Production, Drilling and Completions.
