THE POSITION - Lead Mechanical Engineer Oil & Gas

Working as support to the engineering manager the lead mechanical engineer will supervise a team of engineers/designers providing technical guidance and support. This role will challenge someone who enjoys team building, solving technically complex problems, ensuring that budgets are adhered to and coordinating mechanical work with other disciplines.

Acting as a client interface and developing our mechanical capabilities will be essential components of this role.


QUALIFICATIONS

- 20 years EPC experience in the oil/gas industry
- Previous experience as a lead engineer guiding a group of at least 10 engineers
- Experience in an engineering environment that is rapidly expanding.
- Technical expertise second to none ensuring credibility in the eyes of the client
- Excellent people skills
- An ability to work with and support the engineering manager with a view to the overall success of Hatch.
