Intermediate Structural Designer - BJ CA
 

THE POSITION
The Intermediate Structural designer will be responsible for preparing the design of concrete and steel structures associated with the petroleum and petrochemical industries such as oil and gas production facilities, pipelines, heavy oil plants, tank farms, and infrastructure works.

Close coordination and cooperation with structural engineers will be required.


QUALIFICATIONS

Successful candidates must have the following core qualifications:

-10 or more years EPCM experience on oil and gas projects;
-Proficiency in the design of structural steel and reinforced concrete structures and foundations using Microstation software (preferably with 3-D experience)
-Experience in reinforced concrete and structural steel design using Canadian codes and standards;
-Project coordination skills;
-Excellent communication skills;
-Proficiency in the use of programs such as Excel, Word, and Powerpoint.


ASSETS

-Knowledge/experience with PDS or Triforma
-Previous experience in the design of structural steel duct work.
