Responsibilities:
-Our Project Management Group in Calgary is continuing to expand, and we're looking for a number of Intermediate and Senior Project Engineers.
-These are project coordination and leadership positions which require the ability to lead and direct others in achieving project goals. In the company's projects need to achieve overall quality objectives which include: Safety, Environment, Cost, Schedule, Correct and Complete targets.
-The positions have a strong front line influence on delivering project results and requires patience, persistence and great communication skills to achieve success.
Qualifications:
Applicants for this position must have:
-A P. Eng. and 5-10 years experience of PE experience to be at the intermediate level and 10+ years to be at the senior level.
-Reputation for successfully delivering Oil and Gas projects with Clients at the senior level.
-Demonstrated people skills to handle difficult situations, leadership skills to coordinate and manage discipline engineering teams.
-Change management expertise to define, document and control changes on a project.
-Ability to coordinate, document and lead project team meetings.
In addition to the must haves the other desirable skills of a project engineer which lead to success are:
-A PMP designation with knowledge of earned value principles and concepts and the application of these to project management.
-Experience in writing Project Execution Plans.
-Experience in work planning, budgeting and scheduling and controlling the same.
-Experience in cost estimating
-Experience in risk management
