Responsibilities:
-Senior electrical designer is required to design and draft drawings using computer drafting software
-Design single line diagrams for plant MV/LV power distribution system.
-Design substation layouts, grounding layouts, electrical equipment layouts, motor control schematics, control panel layouts, cable layouts, cable tray layouts, lighting layouts, area classification drawings, general plant layouts.
-Prepare area classification drawings in conjunction with electrical engineer and other discipline engineers
-Calculate voltage drops, size conductors, starters, breakers, dis-connects, fuses, cable trays and lighting requirement.
-Develop material list and load list.
-Be a team player and interface with other discipline team members and Vendors
-Provide on site construction support as required
Qualifications:
-Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent.
CET Registration with ASET or equivalent
-Experience in any one or more of drafting software - Microstation, 3D PDS, Smartplant, Autocad, Autoplant / Rebis, Intools.
-Minimum 10 years of experience in related oil and gas field.
-Able to read and extract electrical information from P& IDs and mechanical equipment list.
-Able to supervise and provide guidance to other CAD designers.
-Able to work independently and make decisions on technical matters.
-Familiar with electric heat tracing design and fire alarm systems.
-Familiar with different stages of EPCM projects.
-Knowledgeable with latest revision of CEC Part 1, C22.1
