Everest Recruitment is assisting Bongarde Media with the recruitment for this position to help identify the best possible candidates for this exciting opportunity for 2 Senior Application Developers.
General:
The ideal candidates, for these senior level positions, will have the skills, experience and personality to join the project, hit the ground running and quickly get the development of three ecommerce websites underway.

Responsibilities to include:
- designing databases to support new ecommerce applications;
- defining and maintaining the development environment and supporting more junior team members;
- developing innovative and effective ecommerce applications in liaison with the Marketing team, the Senior Web Developer and the IT Director;
- following company standards in terms of documentation, testing and development methodologies.
Skills: The ideal candidate will :
- be energetic, proactive and a true team player with an open nature, able to share ideas and experience with the team;
- have strong analytical and problem solving skills;
- have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with peers, Marketing and IT management.
Experience: The ideal candidate will:
- have 3 to 5 years application design and development experience, using ASP and the Microsoft DNA architecture (Distributed Net Applications);
- understand Software design, relational database design fundamentals and modelling (including normalisation) and have SQL programming experience, ideally using SQLServer;
- have a minimum of 2 years experience in developing ecommerce applications.
A perfect candidate will also:
- have prior experience designing and developing applications using UML.
Education/Qualifications:
- Grade 12 minimum, ideally also holding a relevant diploma or other qualification.
