Everest Recruitment is assisting Bongarde Media with the recruitment for this position to help identify the best possible candidates for this exciting opportunity for a Senior Web Designer/Developer.
General:
The ideal candidate, for this senior level position, will have the skills, experience and personality to join the project, hit the ground running and quickly tart contributing hands on both to the design of the new and re-launched websites and also developing the web pages directly. A creative individual with superlative communication skills to work with the Marketing department to be able to understand the company's marketing strategy and the technical skills to use software like Adobe Creative Suite and QuarkXpress to make the strategy into reality.

Responsibilities to include:
- provide design input into the new websites;
- provide leadership to the team of 3 web developers and, alongside them, craft the new and re-launched websites pages using software like the Adobe Creative Suite and QuarkXpress, in some cases also editting HTML directly;
- reporting to the IT Director on the progress and status of the website development;
- interacting with the SEO analyst to implement latest SEO policies are appropriate;
- managing outsourcing relationships are required.
Skills: The ideal candidate will :
- be quality and detail oriented and take pride in producing a compelling final product;
- be able to communicate effectively with technical teams, using technical language, and with other business users, using appropriate language;
- be proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (PhotoShop, Illustrator and InDesign) and QuarkXpress software;
- be very proficient with HTML editting
- have excellent interpersonal and English language skills.
A perfect candidate will also:
- have experience in developing ecommerce websites;
- have experience in interfacing with SQL databases.
Experience: The ideal candidate will:
- have minimum 3 years experience as a web developer/designer for significant commercial websites;
- have an exceptional portfolio including web applications;
- have strong knowledge of cascading style sheets.
Education/Qualifications:
- Grade 12 minimum, ideally also holding a relevant diploma or other qualification.
