Location: Penticton, BC
Salary Range: A competitive salary depending on experience. A medical/dental package is also part of the compensation package. Three weeks annual vacation are offered.
General:
An exciting opportunity for a very strong firmware developer/engineer, with great C/C++/assembly language programming skills and leadership skills, to help to support client companies, all based in the sunny South Okanagan, in a variety of projects using micro controllers for the development of sophisticated systems.
Responsibilities to include:
Design, debug and implement software for embedded systems;
Liaise with clients to understand business needs;
Manage systems integration as necessary;
Coach and provide knowledge transfer for more junior firmware engineers in the team.
Skills/Experience:
The ideal candidate will :
- have at least 5 years experience in designing, debugging and implementing software including operating systems drivers and firmware for embedded systems;
- have strong C/C++/Assembly language programming skills;
- have leadership skills and some team leader experience in a firmware development environment;
- have superior communication and analysis skills;
- have excellent interpersonal and English language skills.
Education/Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or a Technology graduate with equivalent combination of experience and education.
