The primary responsibilities are to inspect precision machined products manufactured primarily for the automotive industry and complete Final Inspection and In-Process Inspection procedures on products.
Additional responsibilities include:
Report occurrences of nonconforming product to Quality Assurance Supervisor
Record occurrences of nonconforming product on appropriate records
Understand inspection procedures and instructions
Understand and make proper use of quality inspection records and documents
Follow the daily quality inspection schedule
Work cooperatively with the Production and Shipping/Receiving Teams
Work cooperatively with the Quality Assurance Supervisor and the rest of the Quality Team
Qualifications, skills and personal qualities required:
Grade 12 high school diploma or equivalent
Previous quality assurance experience and/or training
Skilled in use of necessary measuring and test equipment
Ability to read and understand blue prints/product drawings
Visual inspection as well as use of inspection equipment such as calipers/verniers, micrometers, go-no-go gauges, etc. is required.
For candidates with less experience, training on the appropriate inspection equipment can be done on-site.
