Responsibilities:
To manage/deliver cross-functional initiatives.
To deliver programs on schedule, within budget
To understand and apply PMI best practices in program management.
To lead and motivate cross functional team members.
To build a positive team attitude, resolve conflicts and to clearly communicate program objectives.
To conduct program financial analysis, to develop program budget and to manage program operational and capital costs.
To develop and manage program timelines and communicate status to all levels concerned.
To understand and communicate business objectives, as well as technical complexities of the program.
Responsibilities:
Assemble and manage cross-functional resources. Ensure the understanding and acceptance of teams roles and responsibilities. Ensure the ownership of all program deliverables.
Facilitate team input to develop program work breakdown structure and schedule. Manage and track the completion of program deliverables. Track actual vs. planned program timelines.
Conduct program financial analysis, develop program budget and track program operational and capital expenses.
Facilitate team input to develop program risk management plan. Manage risks and risk response strategy throughout the program.
Ensure all program deliverables meet quality requirements of the program and are signed off by key program stakeholders.
Issue and ensure sign-off of all program change requests and program change notifications.
Act as a single point of contact for all program related issues and escalations.
Ensure program acceptance before closure. Conduct administrative closure of the program and ensure the completion of team survey.
Skills and Knowledge Profile:
8+ years prior program/project management experience ideally in a past consulting environment.
Prior experience in telco
Ability to clearly communicate with all levels in the organization (e.g, business owners, IT and Network SMEs)
Ability to make decisions.
Ability to lead and facilitate cross-functional teams in a large environment involving not only the business side, but also other areas such as IT, Engineering, Customer Care, Financial etc., and to resolve conflicts.
Ability to negotiate solutions and approaches with program team members.
Competency in program management methodology.
Competency in the development of program schedule, program budget and program risk management plans.
Competency in time management, cost management and quality management.
Ability to proactively identify and manage program issues.
Understanding of telecommunication industry.
Understanding of general business management and product marketing.
Familiarity with IT development life cycle & understanding of technical concepts.
Understanding of telecommunications products & services.
Knowledge of telecommunications infrastructure and IT systems development life cycle.
Ability to understand both business and technical issues and to effectively communicate with both audiences.
Proficiency in MS Program and MS Office applications.
PMP an asset
