ACCOUNTS PAYABLE COORDINATOR (PART TIME)
Position
The successful candidate will be a member of the Edmonton Finance & Accounting Team. Your primary responsibility will be to provide the Accounting Manager with ongoing Accounts Payable and Administrative support. Your duties will include, but will not be limited to:
• Obtaining senior approvals for vendor overhead and project chargeable invoices;
• Coding, checking, and entering employee expenses, vendor overhead and project chargeable invoices;
• Entering and facilitating payment of cheque requisitions for all payables;
• Reconciling company’s MasterCards;
• Photocopying all job chargeable payables and internal accounting records;
• Researching and resolving accounts payable issues with vendors, including proper follow-up;
In addition to the above stated duties, you will be expected to provide assistance to the accounting staff and the Edmonton Accounting Manager as required.
Qualifications
Community College diploma or certificate, in an accounting related field or equivalent, preferred. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years experience in a related position. In addition, preferred candidates will possess the following qualities and strengths:
• Good organizational skills (record keeping, time management, follow up);
• Good communication skills (both listening and speaking), friendly, and pleasant manner;
• Good Team Player;
• Excellent problem solver with the ability to identify alternative solutions;
• Excellent attention to detail and sense of urgency; and
• Previous experience with a professional services consulting firm will be an asset.
