• collecting information on work environments and conditions using a variety of data collection methods (i.e., observation, monitoring or sampling, etc.) using approved NIOSH (or OSHA) sampling collection methodologies;
• analyzing and interpreting collected data, documenting results and providing recommendations;
• determining exposure concentrations at the site and comparing the results to established government standards, regulations and guidelines;
• identifying appropriate measurement and control devices;
• preparing and analyzing asbestos air samples;
• preparing daily field and air monitoring reports;
• assisting Project Coordinators with field inspections;
• communicating regularly with Project Coordinators and Project Managers;
• maintaining industrial hygiene monitoring equipment including regular calibrations and maintenance;
• calibrating sampling equipment for field use and set up of sampling equipment in the field;
• participating in the Health and Safety programs;
• participating in a laboratory quality assurance/quality control program; and
• other field duties as required.
The successful candidate is a graduate of a related degree/diploma program and/or possesses related experience.

Working conditions:
Office and field related work; and
Periodic overtime, evening, and weekend work will be required.
