Field Biologist - Junior (Hydroqual)

Field and laboratory based position in water quality assessment and restoration and management of aquatic habitats. Work outdoors will be near water and under different weather conditions.
Intro to the position;

Responsibilities:

The individual will be responsible for designing and implementing field programs for routine water quality assessments, for restoration and rehabilitation of impaired habitats, and for routine monitering. They will be responsible for sampling and data collection, operation and maintenance of equipment and sample analysis. The candidate will be required to interpret field and laboratory data and write technical reports.

Qualifications:

• B.Sc. in Biology (General Biology, Ecology) or B.Sc. in Environmental Science
• 1-2 years of related experience
• Knowledge in aquatic biology, limnology, and water quality.
• Good writing skills and familiarity with Excel spreadsheets would be an asset.
• Possess a Valid Drivers license
• Works well independently; self-motivated, detail orientated; good interpersonal communication skills; organized; effective workload and time management; demonstrates flexibility; maintains accurate and detailed records; exercises initiative;
• Ability to multi-task and work safely
