Our client, a Fast Growing Oil Company based in the Middle East, currently require a Production Supervisor to add to their ever-growing and experienced engineering staff in Abu Dhabi
Description Job Summary:
Individual will supervise in all aspects of the operation & maintenance of offshore oil and gas facilities, ensuring a safe and efficient operation and no harm to people, environment or assets.
Job Duties:
• Demonstrate and install in their direct reports a high degree of HSE awareness and attentiveness at all working locations: including in office, control room, on boats and offshore platforms.
• Become fully conversant with, and ensure application of, Company Operating and Maintenance Procedures, HSE Procedures, and relevant Administration Procedures.
• Responsible team member, undertaking the safe operation of offshore oil & gas platforms, make daily trips offshore by boat or more rarely by helicopter.
• Undertake supervision of day to day production operations & maintenance activities.
• Supervise and participate as appropriate in the maintenance activities on offshore platforms and onshore in the storage yard.
• Ensure direct reports are able to read and interpret written work instructions and technical drawings.
• Form part of site emergency team for all site specific emergencies.
• Responsible for the safe loading and unloading of materials and equipment.
• Manage and lead team reviews including HAZOP, Risk Assessments, tool box talks and safe operating practices.
• To maintain acceptable housekeeping standards at all times to ensure clean & safe working environment for all employees.
Skills Competencies:
Should have the following minimum requirements, training will be given as required:
• BOSIET Offshore Survival Certificate (Tropical)
• Recognised Lifting & Slinging Training Certificate
• H2s Awareness Training Certificate
• Recognised First Aid Training Certificate
• HUET under water escape training
Experience:
The incumbent will have 10 years proven practical experience in the upstream sector of the Oil & Gas Industry, with particular emphasis on Oil & Gas Production & Maintenance Operations in an offshore environment. 5 years of which in Supervisory Role.
