Our client, a renowned drilling service provider based in the Middle East, currently require a Senior Mechanical Engineer to add to their ever-growing and experienced engineering staff in Qatar.
Our client is looking for an engineer who will provide expertise in technical output and support for mechanical engineering requirements, including control and scheduling of all mechanical activities. The role will consist of but not be limited to,
* Conducting research and studies of mechanical equipment performance in drilling units including feasibility and detail engineering design
* Providing technical support to resolve operational/maintenance issues related to the change in design and prepares the related technical reports & advises technical recommendations in order that meaningful decisions can be made
* Reviewing technical procedures of new designed equipment/systems to ensure compliance with design specifications, standard rules/regulations and safety codes
* Carrying out evaluations, clarifications, wide decisions for equipment modifications or new replacement within the budget in his discipline
* Ensuring engineering function is carried out in accordance with approved plans and schedules, compatible with the existing systems and operate without causing any system conflict
The successful candidate will have a B.Sc in mechanical engineering and will have at least 15 years experience in the Oil and Gas industry with 5 of those as an Engineer working with drilling equipment.
This position requires that the successful candidate will be fluent in English and be willing to reside permanently in Qatar.
