A global banking client based in USA, with a new opening in UAE is seeking a VP - Loan Operations Manager. This client is a private commercial bank. The VP - Loan Operations Manager will oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the loan servicing department, to ensure efficiency, accuracy, compliance, customer service, and processing deadlines. Additionally the VP - Loan Operations Manager will supervise and manage a Loan Operations Specialist. This position reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer.
Qualified candidates MUST have prior experience in commercial banking. This is non-negotiable; candidates without bank experience will not be considered for this position.

Primary Responsibilities
Exercise daily supervision and assure the departmental objectives are achieved in processing work and correcting errors
Ensure that staff members are fully informed of appropriate policies, procedures, and regulations, providing on the job training, as necessary
Provide assistance and support to operations staff in dealing with problems
Supervise the resolution of particularly sensitive or complex situations
Manage loan documentation imaging function
Monitor daily processing by spot checking input for accuracy and verification
Monitor processing throughout the day to assure that deadlines are achieved
Promote good customer relations by ensuring that problems are resolved promptly and efficiently
Select, develop, and train a competent staff to meet current and future operations commitments
Review on a continual basis department procedures, staffing, and equipment for maximum efficiency while controlling costs
Handle telephone inquiries from customers and Bank personnel
Ensure efficient and economical utilization of equipment and resources
Ensure the timely generation of reports and data including the delivery of the finished product according to established or judiciously adjusted priorities
Ensure confidentiality of Bank and customer service data at all times
Process daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end tasks according to schedules
Carry out such other duties as may be assigned or requested
Review and ensure accuracy of loan booking, maintenance, filing and reporting
Review and monitor portfolio for compliance with applicable regulations
Supervise and oversee day-to-day operations of loan servicing, to include: Loan setup, Loan advance payments and posting, HMDA and CRA reporting, Tickler monitoring, Collateral vault oversight
Quality control and quality assurance
Ensure that policies, procedures, and regulations are followed
Develop and enhance operational processes within this function
Supervise, advise, train, counsel and review department staff
Provide superior customer service
Job Requirements
Requirements
Bachelors degree, preferably in business, finance, accounting or economics
Minimum 5 years in commercial loan operations, with commercial and consumer credit experience
Working knowledge of both commercial and consumer lending regulations
Previous managerial experience and leadership overseeing loan servicing operations in a commercial bank
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), as well as ITI Premier loan accounting system applications
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are essential
Ability to motivate, coach, and develop staff
Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and implement changes
Ability to handle difficult situations in a positive and professional manner
Ability to lead and manage projects
In depth knowledge of government banking laws and regulations
