Associate Vice President - Account Manager

We have a great opportunity on our Global Telephone Finance Cooperative (GTFC) team for an Associate Vice President/Account Manager. Reporting to the Vice President- Portfolio Management, this position is responsible for performing underwriting, loan closing and post loan servicing for a portfolio of large and/or complex accounts operating in various aspects of the telecommunications industry.

Essential Functions include:
• Conduct in-depth due diligence review and financial analysis of credit applications, covenant compliance waivers, amendments and other mortgage exception requests.
• Negotiate structure, collateral coverage and financial and operating covenants for short- and long-term loans and other credit offerings to our borrowers.
• Negotiate and structure bank syndications to ensure that our company has adequate covenant and collateral protection. Prepare offering memorandums when our company is lead arranger for syndicated transactions.
• Apply advanced knowledge of commercial credit to effectively recommend appropriate action on requests and applications that are consistent with the company’s prevailing goals and strategic plan. • Prepare written credit packages/reports and perform oral presentations to board of directors and/or corporate credit committee.
• Monitor portfolio of accounts for operating trends and alert management of potential problem credits and appropriate course of action.
• Perform annual and/or quarterly risk assessments, risk rating and other reports as required based on borrower's credit profile.
• Effectively market our company's products and services and maintain strong client relationships.
• Provide prompt service to internal customers.
• Participate in annual budgeting process.
• Coach, mentor and manage direct reports as assigned.

Job Requirements
Education & Experience required:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with finance or accounting concentration.
• Commercial lending principals and practices (minimum of 5 years experience).
• Financial modeling.
• Advanced understanding of the legal aspects of lending, including perfection of security interest, covenant protection and bankruptcy.
• Knowledge of legal and tax characteristics of multi-level organizational structures and organizational types, i.e., cooperatives, limited and general partnerships, limited liability corporations, Subchapter S corporations, etc.

Desirable Knowledge & Experience:
• Knowledge of the telecommunications industry including operations of international exchange carriers, cable television and wireless providers
• Our capital structure and funding mechanisms.
Computer Skills:
• MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point)
• Lotus Notes
• Internet skills
• Moody's Financial Analyst and/or Risk Analyst

Travel Requirements:
Occasional overnight travel as required.
