Area Manager of Industrial Services #6441CM

Our client is a major player in the Alberta Oil and Gas industry, is hiring an Area Manager of an Industrial Contracting business unit for Southern Alberta. The Area Manager is responsible for the profitability of the operations by providing client service and pursuing growth opportunities related to their core functions. These functions include industrial maintenance support, plant shutdowns and turnarounds, field construction and project management and therefore experience in all of these areas are critical to be successful in this role. For your commitment to relocate, our client will consider full relocation costs. Reporting directly to the VP of the region, the successful candidate can expect growth opportunities, a competitive salary, and a comprehensive benefit package.

Job Description:

• Direct operations of the site and handle day to day operations
• Lead and play an active role in the development of the safety culture
• Executive field activities and ensure activities meet or exceed schedule and cost expectations through efficient use of all resources
• Establish annual sales forecasts and responsible for approve budget, expenditures, and appropriations, FULL P&L responsibility.
• Monitor productivity and cost; implement action to maintain maximum labour productivity and cost-effectiveness
• Lead teams to success through effective training, performance management and accountability to role expectations and goals
• Manage business processes, coordinate production, sales distribution, and establish territories
• Review market analyses to determine needs, volume potential, price schedules and to develop and accommodate achievable goals and growth of company plan
• Be the face of the organization and drive new business by building and diversifying the client base

What the Company Expects From You:

• Strong leadership skills and ability to provide vision and direction to staff
• Extensive experience in industrial site maintenance, plant shutdowns and turnarounds, field industrial construction and project management
• Knowledgeable and connected within the energy sector
• Degree or equivalent project experience
• 8+ years’ experience in a senior leadership role in an energy and services environment
• Successfully managed multiple projects utilizing more than 200 craft personnel and contractors
• Strong business acumen and financial background including full P&L and management reporting
• Ability and experience in mentoring, training others to build a collaborative and productive work culture
