Chief Engineer (Building Operations)
Our client is a recognized leader in the hospitality industry and are looking for a technically strong Chief Engineer with amazing leadership skills to join their Engineering Department in Edmonton, Alberta.
In this position you will be responsible for:
Leading his/her team in maintenance of the entire property/building facility (including the physical building stucture, all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems, and related equipment)
Oversee the fiscal responsibilities in the Department's expenditures
Ensure all corporate required policies and controls are maintained
Ensure that all maintenance is done in accordance with energy conservation and preventative maintenance programs
Other ad hoc duties
This company will expect from you:
5-7 years experience in a major hotel, hospital, or large facility
4 years experience in a supervisor/managerial capacity in a similar sized facility/team
proven hiring, training, and performance management skills are required
must be able to prepare technical data, bids, projects, and repairs for property
minimum of 4th class power engineering certificated required
knowledge of building code required
must have thorough working knowledge of all types of mechanical equipment such as: chillers, boilers, water softeners, and refrigeration equipment.
must have thorough working knowledge of: electrical systems, maintenance of records of power, water, and fuel consumption
must be able to handle a physical workload on an ongoing basis
must be able to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays
ability to multi task, organize, and be detail orientated
hands on and professional
