Superintendent - Tenant Improvements
 

Our client is a general contractor specialising in commercial, industrial and institutional design and build projects. They currently have need of a Superintendent who extensive experience working on Tenant Improvement projects, for their Calgary operations.

It is essential you have been the superintendent on Tenant Improvement Projects within the Commercial sector, specifically on Class A buildings.

As superintendent you will ensure that all aspects of the construction are safely and effectively coordinated, meet the specifications, and on schedule.
Specifically your duties will include but will not be limited to:

• Cost control during construction
• Coordination of trade contractors
• Preconstruction activities such as schedule development, construction sequencing and value engineering
• Assisting with bid clarification of trade contractors with regard to scope of work, costs and schedule
• Working closely with the project manager, owner, consultants, trade contractors inspectors and regulatory agencies to prepare and execute project plans
• Implementing health, safety and environmental procedures on site in accordance with legislation and company policy to ensure the safety of all workers and protection of the public
• Effectively managing own workforce, equipment, materials and trade contractors to attain targeted profit

This position calls for an experienced construction site superintendent possessing highly developed communication and supervisory skills.
