The Hutong School organizes internships in combination with Chinese classes for students, graduates and young professionals who want to gain working and living experience in China. We will organize an internship at a local or international company in Beijing, provide accommodation and teach you Chinese.

Our services include:
- Internship placement
- Accommodation in single rooms in modern apartments in central Beijing.
- 2 hours of Chinese classes per day
- Airport pick-up.
- Assistance with the visa application and the registration in Beijing.

For our client we are currently looking for an intern for the following position:

Assistant Event Manager

Length: 3-6 months

Location: Beijing

Internship description:
Promote H!TANG's services (see below) to foreign companies and organisations in Beijing ;
Manage the projects resulting from this business canvas (brief, recommendation, organisation, client follow-up, coordination, implementation), such as :
- Artistic and cultural content for Corporate events, Theme parties
- Chinese Culture Dinner-Show
- Space Rental (for press conference, showcase, workshop…)
These tasks/projects can be dispatched within the interns, according to their center of interests. H!TANG's management (director of operations, artistic director, resources hunter) will be there to guide, advise, provide all useful information and contacts for you to be able to manage efficiently the projects. You will be working in an international environment. What ever your level in Chinese, you will have the opportunity to use it in all kinds of situations

Requirements:
- English proficiency, spoken and written (all nationalities welcome)
- French and/or Chinese would be even better, but not compulsory
- Dynamic (event management and Chinese market both require proactive people)
- Good presentation (contact with clients)
- No specific education or experience required, if you are the above! Naturally, a communication / marketing / sales / business / management background would well match this position.

We are dedicated to promoting international artists in China, and Chinese culture to foreigners. From the production of cultural and artistic events (project definition, sponsorship search, insitutional support, organization, promotion - of concerts, exhibitons, shows, tours, chinese culture dinner-shows…) to consulting services to companies (designing events, providing artists, event logistics).
