Job Description:
Must be familiar with user-interface and information architecture principles and how to design websites with database driven content.
Work in a team environment to build mockups and prototypes, establish and create style guidelines and style guide documents as project deliverables.
Create and implement innovative designs and graphics using HTML and CSS.
Experience optimizing images for web user interface and creating HTML/CSS that matches a Photoshop design layout, and understand how mockups translate to code.
Manage and maintain library of templates and image archives.
Produce a consistent visual image across multiple websites.
Must be able to work well with others, and thrive within a group dynamic setting
Positive contributor to team environments.
Job Requirements:
Minimum 2-5 years in professional web design experience.
Minimum of 3 years experience in design and development of complex UI / internet applications.
A demonstrated depth of experience in copy/design integration, typography and interactive interface design.
Experience establishing design standards and related processes.
Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of users and support staff.
Strong conceptual and creative skills and commitment to customer satisfaction
Must be detail oriented
Bilingual (French & English)
Hands-on knowledge of current web markup or scripting languages: XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Experience and understanding of site architecture, user experience, color theory and color management on the web, proper file formats, compression methods and techniques
Additional Assets:
Understanding of dynamic or active web content and the use of classic ASP, ASP.NET, and SQL.
Extensive experience with desktop publishing/imaging applications (Photoshop, Fireworks, Freehand, Illustrator, Flash, and Dreamweaver) for use in creating graphics optimized for the web.
