Position Summary:
The Okanagan Boys & Girls Clubs is inviting applications from qualified individuals for the Area Director in the South Okanagan. This is a senior leadership position, and part of the Regional Administration Team. This position is located in Penticton, B.C.
The Area Director for the South Okanagan is responsible for community development, program development, financial management and human resource management for all programs and services offered in the South Okanagan by the Okanagan Boys & Girls Clubs.
Qualifications:
• Completion of a degree/diploma in a discipline relevant to Okanagan Boys & Girls Clubs requirements.
• Three to five years of progressively more responsible management experience, preferably in the community recreation or social service sector
• Demonstrated knowledge of community based social service and recreation programs and services, and applicable legislation and policies.
• Demonstrated knowledge of child, family and community development
• Excellent communication, judgment and team building skills
• Successful applicant will be required to complete the Agency Wide Screening process, which includes a Criminal Record Check
