As a Sr. Product Line Manager for Pluggable Transceiver products you have been successful in driving new revenue and profitability; this is very important as this in one of our highest growth product lines. Your deep knowledge of the transceiver space, with hand-on experience in the datacom, telecom and fiber-channel markets will allow you great success within the team. You are able to drive internal development in order to create new and differentiated products because of your deep understanding of the Pluggable Transceiver market. Some additional responsibilities will include working with engineering to set technology roadmaps, as well as business development for potential partnerships.
The focus of this role will be on market penetration, profitable revenue growth and sustainable leadership via an industry leading roadmap. In order to do this you have and continue to have success in these areas:
Driving revenue growth;
Primary lead for product pricing;
Defining new products;
Defining and articulating a long term strategic roadmap and market strategy;
Managing design win activity (close cooperation with Eng, Sales, Ops);
Analyzing competition for product benchmarking;
End to end product life cycle management, including communication of PCNs and product transitions/discontinuances;
Managing product cost, work with Operations to set cost targets;
Tracking performance to plan.
What experience will allow you the greatest success in this role?
Bachelors in related fields such as Engineering, Business Admin, etc.;
Minimum 6+ years of technical Product Line Management/Marketing experience;
Strong technical background in optical communication systems and/or components, and familiarity with SONET/SDH and Ethernet applications;
Direct Product Line Management/Marketing experience in the Pluggable market space;
Working knowledge of the 10G/40G/100G Pluggable transceiver market, products and customers;
The availability and willingness to travel ~20% of the time (domestic and international).
