R.C.M.P. Municipal Support Supervisor


The City of Brooks requires a municipal employee for the full-time management position of R.C.M.P. Municipal Support Supervisor at the Brooks R.C.M.P. office. Reporting to the Staff Sergeant, the R.C.M.P. Municipal Support Supervisor is responsible for the efficient and effective provision, planning and coordination of municipal support services at the Brooks R.C.M.P. Detachment. This position is also responsible for various strategic, operational and supervisory responsibilities including, but not limited to, acting as a liaison between the City and the R.C.M.P. on personnel, payroll, and related operations and ensures that all applicable policies, contracts, rules, regulations and agreements are administered appropriately; plans for future needs of the municipal support service at the Detachment; and ensures the effective direction, coordination and supervision of municipal R.C.M.P. clerks for the City of Brooks.

The successful applicant must have completed the twelfth (12th) school grade, or equivalent, supplemented by a minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible administration experience, preferably in a detachment setting. The applicant must be able to demonstrate managerial or leadership skills through previous employment opportunities. The completion of a recognized post-secondary certificate program from a related field is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. The successful incumbent will be required to have completed all of the following R.C.M.P. courses including CPIC, PIRS, PROS and IM within the first two years of employment. The applicant must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong prioritizing and multi-tasking skills and exceptional supervisory skills while working calmly and efficiently in a fast paced office environment. Applicants must be able to obtain R.C.M.P. security clearance and must maintain that clearance throughout employment in the position.
