Telemarketing Sales Representative
 

The primary role of Telemarketing Sales Representative is to source potential customers through prospecting initiatives which include telemarketing, direct mail and email programs. The incumbent liaises with Outside Sales, Customer Service, Operations and Administration to develop strong relationships, provide added value and help Wheels develop the strengths to meet the customers’ requirements.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Prospect and communicate on a daily basis with potential clients through phone calls, emails and direct mail/e-mail marketing programs.
• Measure statistics on daily output activities which include number of phone calls made, contacts made, appointments set, mailers sent and ad hoc shipment success.
• Ensure all communications are tracked in Wheels CRM.
• Identify “best-in-class” qualified prospects for business opportunities.
• Work alongside Inside and Outside Sales to ensure proper allocation of successful accounts through pre-determined distribution criteria (revenue segmentation).
• Solicit ad hoc opportunities on every contact.
• Contact, establish, cultivate and develop existing inactive house accounts.
• Determine, evaluate and report special trends in the customer base with the Outside Sales Team.
• Assist in the ongoing development, implementation and improvement of any telemarketing and direct mail marketing programs.
• Anticipate customer requirements and meet those needs in a professional and proactive manner.
• Cultivate strong personal relationships with prospective and existing customers.
• Ensure customers’ expectations are met or exceeded by effectively communicating with Operations and other teams within Wheels.
• Other duties and assignments as required.


KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

Education and Industry Knowledge
• High school diploma.
• College Diploma / University Degree in business or related discipline is an asset. CITT an asset.
• Minimum of 2 years insides sales or telemarketing experience.
• Experience in the transportation industry is an asset.

Technical Skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (e.g., Outlook, Word).
• Intermediate computer skills required in Excel (i.e., formulas, graphs).
• PowerPoint an asset.
• Experience with CRM applications is an asset, i.e., SalesForce.com, Act, Maximizer, Goldmine, etc.

Business Strategy Skills
• Proven success in a fast paced, high output, telemarketing / call centre environment with ability to handle the complexities of this role.
• Dedicated commitment to providing superior, timely, internal and external customer service.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in verbal and written form.
• Strong problem-solving.
• Effective decision-making skills.
• Highly organized with the ability to multi-task.
• Team cooperation and respect is required.
• Strong negotiation skills.
